An antique ear trumpet of American origin dating to the late 19th century. Made from thick brass it is a relatively heavy but hand held device which has developed a nice patina and which remains effective. It is in excellent condition and there are no dents. The earpiece is made from an early plastic. The body of the trumpet is in the style of the opera dome exampled but the base extends in a cylindrical fashion.
