Antique Miniature Silver Ear Tubes

A fine pair of late 19th century unmarked solid silver miniature ear tubes in their original velvet lined box.

These were placed in the ear canal to facilitate hearing probably in those with narrowing or blockage of the external auditory meatus. Similar unboxed examples can be seen in Figure 1-70 in’ Historic Devices for Hearing the CID Goldstein Collection’.
