A rare binaural Knight’s stethoscope. This is essentially the same as a ‘Cammann’ but with a modified spring mechanism to keep the ear pieces opposed.

The spring mechanism is signed “Codman & Shurtleff Boston”. The stethoscope itself is in excellent condition with minimal loss of its nickel plating. The silk binding has on one of the rubber tubes has been replaced (some time ago). The chest and connecting pieces are made from gutta-percha.
