A superb baby feeder made from animal horn dating to the 1700s
Old baby feeders are seldom seen and highly collectible items which were made variably from ceramic, glass or pewter. This one very unusually is made from horn and I am not aware of another example in this material. The feeder has been finely turned and comes in three pieces which screw together and the base is marked with concentric (if eccentric) circles. It comes from the private collection of Elizabeth Bennion.
