A fine papier-mâché anatomical model brainstem, by Dr Auzoux. The outside surface shows the the various anatomical landmarks with neurological tracts along their length represented in different colours.

The model divides into 8 separate cross sectional wedges each surface of which shows the internal structures and the crossing over of fibres and tracts, all in staggeringly clear detail and labeled with numbers. All the pins and hooks are intact and it has remained in remarkable condition. The inferior part of the stem is signed Anatomie Clastique du Dr Auzoux 1924
