A cased apparatus for auditory re-education signed by Harrys of Paris

This is not a hearing aid per se but was intended as a tool to re-acclimatise the ears in patients who were hard of hearing. The idea was that providing and auditory stimulus might in some way result in the development of improved hearing in those hard of hearing.  The battery powered instrument has a button on the side which when pressed produces a white noise which is transmitted to the patient’s tympanic membrane and biologoicl heatring apparatus via the earpiece.

The casing is in chrome and the ear pieces is bakelite. The item comes in its original green and gilt leatherette case which is lined in silk and velvet.
