A Bakelite eustachian tube insufflator invented by Dr Way in its original box.

This instrument might have been included under the inhaler category but has been placed under hearing aids because it was specifically marketed as a treatment for catarrhal deafness.

“The inside of this instrument has a silk sponge that is saturated with a medicine and in blowing, this warm air is forced up into the nose and ear cavities and through the eustachian tube.

It is unequalled as a sure relief for catarrh, hay fever, cold in the head and influenza, or any irritation of the nose and throat, but particularly for CATARRHAL DEAFNESS”

It comes in its original box labelled Artificial Ear Drum Company 2539 Woodward Ave Detroit
