A lovely thick hand blown cobalt blue eye glass with a polished pontil and the most beautiful rich dark blue colour which is verging on black.

The unusual shape of the bowl lip is similar to two other silver eye baths (in a private collection) one of which is hallmarked Edinburgh with the head of Geo III . So it is possible then that this piece is from the early 19th century and of Scottish origin.
