A 19th century antique ear trumpet which has been designed to mimic an organic form.

It is convoluted in style and has been constructed by soldering together of a series of  tin segments as an aid to air conduction or for cosmetic effect. It is finished in a mat black lacquer externally and the interior is gold in colour. The ear piece brass.
