A well made two piece early to mid 19th century tin ear trumpet.

The curve leading up to the flange has been achieved by the soldering together of a number of segments of tin. The black paint finish has been well retained. There is a mid section joint allowing it to be divided into two which would have improved its portability. The ear piece made from soldered tin is in keeping with an earlier design.
