A lovely two handled pewter bowl or porringer. The handles are decorated in a typically European style and the bowl probably dates to the early 19th century.

It has an unidentified makers make on the base. These vessels were multifunctional used mostly for eating but may also have been used for collecting blood during the practice of phlebotomy.
