A fine example of Immisch’s much sought after avitreous medical medical thermometer which remains in perfect working order. He patented his small watch shaped thermometer in 1881.

This piece is backed in a gold case which is secured in a red hemp lined metal case. The back of the case is marked “Dr Evan Jones, Aberdare, 1890”. Dr Jones is mentioned in a number of historical document related to Aberdare.
