Guyon’s Syringe for Urethral Injections

Guyons vulcanite mounted glass syringe in its original case.

The syringe is  fitted with a flexible bulbous catheter and was typically used for applying nitrate of silver to the neck of the bladder (i.e. the prostate) in cases of venereal  disease around the late 19th century.
