An unusual conversation tube with a silver plated mouthpiece, a flexible metal silver plated tube and ivory ear piece.

This is a rare example by Hawksley with a banjo shaped mouthpiece. Despite the relatively small bore of the metal tubing it transmits sound very effectively. It dates to the late 19th turn century.
