An unusual early French hearing aid which combines as electrically powered amplifier and which also incorporates two silver articulated ear tubes which expand within the external auditory meatus by means of an adjusting screw.
The base of the frame is made from wood with a faux tortoise shell domed lid and receiver. The black wheel at the base is pressed against the mastoid so as to improve bone conduction. Complete with its original box and instruction leaflet and probably dating to the 1940s.
