This typically French antique pewter urinal with a flat base was sometimes referred to as a souris or mouse.

The mouth of the urinal has the original material plug with a central hole, presumably for ventilation  There is a makers mark on the base which it illegible but the appearance of the urinal and the patina of the pewter would suggest a mid 19th century date.
