Scarificator in Black Case by Kolb

A typically square late 18th early 19th century 16 bladed scarificator by Kolb, a reputable instrument maker from Vienna and signed Kolb Wien.

The blades are primed by pulling the top lever and released with the catch on the side. The depth of cut is altered by a central screw on the top surface. It comes its black leather leather case with the Kolb crest and with a decorative golden embossed design along its edges.
