A high quality early 18th century shagreen lancet case. It has fine heavy silver banding and with a silver catch engraved with concentric rings and the ensemble is in perfect condition.

There are four horn thumb lancets, unusually this contains two pairs of lancets which are different sizes (by design). They all have engraved matching rivets consistent with early 18th century work, three of which are engraved “Looker”. This example is slightly larger and heavier than most lancets cases.
