An exceptional  late 18th Century Shagreen lancet case with six tortoise shell thumb lancets.

The dome top and flat bottom are made in unmarked silver. The bands of silver trim around the top, the hinge section and the bottom are marked with parallel concentric rings. The case, hinge and latch are perfect. The tortoise shell lancets by various makers are in good condition.
