A unmarked 19th century ear trumpet in the shape of a swan
A seldom seen elipsoid configuration which is referred to as the swan in one of the 19th century catalogues. The grille is of a simple art nouveau design. It is solidly built from a light coloured but strong non magnetic metal which is I think aluminium and it has a brown lacquered japan finish. The earpieces is fixed and from hardened rubber.
